It was only half a year ago when Sony came out with the first commercial organic light-emitting diode (OLED) television. The thickness was only paper-thin and yet the images are so crisp that one can mistake it for a window hung on a wall. The price then was $2500.Now, here's some competition that might push the prices a little lower. An LG Display executive said that the company will be releasing its own commercial OLED display starting January 2010. The release will first cover South Korean, and then globally.
