Just read the blog. We usually review submissions within a day or so. Make sure you read the rules... don't use more than one link per every 2 paragraphs. Don't link to non-relevant sites. Post some unique content. We're not interested in blog posts that you've submitted to hundreds of other websites... nor are the people searching for information online.
A two to four paragraph blog post that ends with a link to your website can be extreme effective... especially if you write something that is interesting and shows your expertise in the topic... instead of some high powered sales pitch!
